Creation of universe: The big bang theory and expanding universe; universe hidden from man; limitations of human understanding; man’s progressive insight; miracle of continuous creation; concept of time; creation of universe in six eons; creation of cosmos (stars, sun and moon); orbits of planets. Creation of earth: Evolution of earth in two to four eons; earth as a cradle of life; proper use of natural phenomena for man’s benefit; superstitions related to heavenly bodies (adoration of celestial bodies, predicting future through astrology). Theistic evolution of life on earth: Evolution of life from water; all animals evolved from water. Evolution of man: Evolution of man from water (man created out of primordial soup); human soul is of the spirit of God; origin of human race out of one living entity; subsequent divergence; unity within diversity; humble origin of man to conscious being; purpose of man’s life; man’s positive qualities (conceptual thinking; creative abilities; building shelters; use of iron; gaining mastery over transport); man’s negative tendencies (man born with restless disposition, failure to use intellectual and spiritual endowments, self-centered world-view, tendency toward sinning).
