Attributes of kafirs: Deliberate denial of the truth, al-kafirun (109), there hearts and minds are closed (Parables of the people who kindle a fire and violent cloudburst), making one’s own desires their deity, rejection of God’s message: ignorance underlying disbelief, truth which they detest, they are like cattle devoid of reasoning, arrogance: (shackles around their neck and their heads forced up), haughty disdain of God’s message, sarcasm of denier of the truth. Moral relativism (expediency is eo ipso right), spiritual confusion.
False notion of man’s self-sufficiency: Man’s arrogance and illusion of self-sufficiency, parable of life and achieving mastery over nature.
Ingratitude for God’s blessing: God’s creation for man’s benefit, hopeless during affliction arrogance in good times, man’s ingratitude (parable of seafarer), parable of ingratitude and its disastrous consequences. Denial of afterlife, resurrection and God’s judgment: God’s judgment in this life, refusal to believe in judgment day, can deities shield them from God’s punishment.
God’s judgment in afterlife: The last hour, dialogue between God and idolaters, apostles have indeed told us the truth, testimonies of deities (idolatry is worshipping your own fancies), no escape from final judgment, scum over clear water (parable of truth and falsehood), grant of respite until resurrection, dialogue between idols and idolaters, cry out in belated supplication, dialogue between God and deified beings, testimony of angels (on judgment day), deities to disown idol worshippers, freedom of idol worship and punishment in hereafter, placing dispute before God, shackles and chains on judgment day, forsaken by alleged divine partners, mocking those who attained to faith. Divine guidance for deniers of the truth: Proselytize nonbelievers (advice to the prophet): Ignore blasphemers and admonish the sinners, addressing doubters and skeptics, faith and self-accountability, prophets of old also faced opposition, do not grieve over those who refuse to heed you, do not agonize over spiritual fate of nonbelievers, parable of God’s power to bestow spiritual life, morning star that pierce darkness, message to mankind.
